Reebok has partner with community organisation Girls Skate South Africa to spread the love of skating and get more girls on board. Pushing back on the traditional narrative of it being a male-led space, girls’ skate organisations like Girls Skate South Africa and riders like Thato Moet, Siya Bulela and Angie Schultz have made it clear that it’s a girls sport too – with new backing by Reebok South Africa.
On the video founder Sharne Jacobs noted, “I wanted to see more girls at skateparks and get girls comfortable enough to skate in front of the guys.”
